Happy Fourth of July!

And breathe a prayer for the safe return of our heroes in Iraq who, by presidential order fight not for the principles upon which our country was founded, but for the high crimes and misdemeanors of

George W. Bush, President,

who should be impeached because:

• He lied to Congress and to the American people and the world about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.
• He lied to Congress and to the American people and the world about the connection of Iraq to al Qaida.
• He launched aggressive war against Iraq in defiance of the U.S.Constitution and the U.N.Charter—the ultimate war crime—for which Nazis were convicted and executed at the Nuremberg Trials.
• He violated the Geneva Conventions requiring protection of civilians in combat areas, thus committing numerous war crimes.
• He invaded and conquered Iraq without a legitimate Congressional Declaration of War as required by the Constitution, in defiance of the United Nations Security Council and in violation of the UN Charter.
• He threatened seven nations with nuclear war and promised America “perpetual war.”
• He appointed Elliot Abrams, a convicted criminal, to high office in the National Security Council.
• He appointed John Poindexter, a convicted criminal, to the office of Director of the Pentagon’s Information Awareness Office.
• He created a secret Energy Task Force under Richard Cheney and refused to comply with laws requiring disclosure of its activities.
• He raided the Social Security Trust Fund despite his repeated promises that he would not do so.
• He enacted unaffordable tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy and then lied about its effect on federal budget deficits.
